The current members of Egypt hollow have been making music together for as long as they can remember. The Warren, Pennsylvanians officially formed the band in 2008 and by early 2012, had debuted their first studio work, “The Beautiful Am”. The band worked with local producer Anthony Brown to record this six song EP that toys with different styles of folk though it is essentially a folk rock album. The band continued to work together through lineup changes, but the folk influence remained a predominant part of the bands sound. In December 2014, Egypt Hollow released a self-titled studio album with the help of their friend and mentor, Robert Pearce. This nine track acoustic folk album reflects matters of the heart and soul, with a voice that speaks sweet but sharp. In a live setting the band uses mostly traditional instruments to embody everything from soft rolling folk to driving blues and jazz. Egypt Hollow continues to draw inspiration from all forms of music and is excited to showcase this inspiration in projects to come.
